Why I've Been Quiet

Why I've Been Quiet (And Why I'm Choosing Creativity Again)
If you've noticed that Stitch Therapy Studio has been a little quieter than usual over the past few months, I wanted to take a moment to share what's been happening.
Life doesn't always follow the plans we make.
Earlier this year, I found myself unexpectedly back in the job market after another layoff due to company downsizing. Like so many others, I've spent countless hours updating my resume, writing cover letters, preparing for interviews, networking, and applying for positions. Searching for a job can easily become a full-time job in itself, and that's exactly what it has felt like.
There have been exciting opportunities, disappointing emails, moments of hope, and moments of uncertainty. It's been an emotional journey, but it has also reminded me of something important.
Don't Wait for the Perfect Time
Somewhere along the way, I convinced myself that I'd get back to creating "once things settled down."
Once I found a job.
Once life felt less stressful.
Once I had more time.
The truth is, life is always going to be busy. There will always be another responsibility, another deadline, or another reason to put the things we love on hold.
If we wait for the perfect moment, we may never begin.
What "Creating" Really Means
When I first started Stitch Therapy Studio, it wasn't just about selling handmade items.
It was about embracing a slower, more intentional way of living. It was about finding joy in creating something with my own two hands and sharing that joy with others.
For me, creating goes beyond crochet and sewing.
It's the satisfaction of baking a loaf of homemade bread and filling the house with its warm, comforting aroma. It's decorating our home one room at a time. Right now, I'm slowly updating our living room, entryway, and dining area—making thoughtful changes that reflect our family's style without breaking the budget. I love finding ways to create a warm, welcoming home through DIY projects, decorating, and making the most of what we already have.
These moments remind me to slow down.
They remind me that not everything has to be rushed, and that some of life's greatest rewards come from patience, practice, and creativity.
Choosing Creativity During Uncertain Times
As my job search continues, I've decided I'm no longer going to wait for life to feel "normal" before making time for the things that bring me joy.
Some days, that might mean spending an hour crocheting.
Other days, it may mean sewing a new project, experimenting with a homemade bread recipe, rearranging a room, or working on another home project.
Those moments aren't distractions from real life—they're what help me navigate it.
They remind me that my identity isn't defined by a job title. Creativity gives me purpose, peace, and perspective, especially during seasons of uncertainty.
What's Next for Stitch Therapy Studio
As I move forward, you'll begin to see a little more of everything that inspires me.
Of course, there will still be crochet and sewing projects, but you'll also find homemade bread, simple recipes, home decorating, DIY projects, room makeovers, seasonal decorating, and the everyday moments that make a house feel like a home.
I'll be sharing the progress as I continue updating our living room, entryway, and dining area, along with budget-friendly decorating ideas, handmade touches, and practical inspiration for creating a home you love without spending a fortune.
Stitch Therapy Studio is growing into something that reflects who I am today—a place that celebrates handmade living, creativity, comfort, and finding joy in the simple things.
My hope is that when you visit this space, you leave feeling inspired to create something of your own, whether that's with yarn, fabric, flour, paint, or simply by making your home a little cozier.
A Little Reminder
If life has been busy or overwhelming lately, let this be your reminder that you don't have to wait until everything is perfect to do something you love.
Bake the bread.
Start the crochet project.
Dust off the sewing machine.
Refresh a room.
Plant the flowers.
Spend time doing something that fills your heart, even if it's only for a few minutes.
Those small moments of creativity have a way of bringing us back to ourselves.
Thank you for sticking with me through this quieter season. Your support means more than you know, and I'm excited to share this next chapter of Stitch Therapy Studio with you.
Here's to creating, learning, and finding joy in the everyday—one stitch, one loaf of bread, one room, and one handmade moment at a time.
With gratitude,
Bianca xo
